Minutes – 30th November 1920

The Lodge was Consecrated and Erected at a meeting held in Bridgend School on the 6th November 1920, at 4.00pm. The ceremony was carried out by Brother Henry Robinson R.W.P.G.M. of Linlithgowshire.

The first applicants were as follows;

  • Andrew Potter Crombie – Blacksmith – Blackness
  • John D S Neilson – Miner – Philpstoun
  • David Gault – Clerk – Philpstoun
  • Allan Old (Jnr) – * Miner – Kingscavil
  • Thomas Kilpatrick (Jnr) – ** Miner – Philpstoun

Andrew P Crombie, in 1930, became the first intiate to be a Right Worshipful Master of Lodge Hopetoun St John No 1232.
